Admissions

IMG_4847

Zürich Schule Barcelona (ZSB) has an ongoing admissions policy (Quick Enrolment), which means that we deal with admission applications throughout the school year. Students can join the school whenever they need to, depending on the number of places available and on their individual profiles. Students over the age of five must have a certain knowledge of German and Spanish.

Personal interviews
with families

The personal interview will be held on a visit to the school. Whenever possible, the visit will take place during school hours so that parents can observe children’s daily activity.

Assessment
of the application

In order to determine candidates’ suitability (from ages seven to eight onwards) we take three aspects into consideration: our personal interview with them, their school record (and other possible references), and the results of instructional and psychotechnical tests taken after the interview.

The tests are provided at no additional cost for families.

No candidates will be considered unless they fulfil these three requirements.

Student
enrolment

Once the school’s admissions team has assessed and agreed to the candidacy, parents are informed that they may proceed to the enrolment process. Enrolment will be confirmed once all the necessary documents have been submitted and payment of the enrolment and reservation fees has been made before the established deadline.

In the event of there being no vacancies, candidates will be placed on a waiting list and the school will do its utmost to solve the problem as soon as possible.

What are parents saying about us?

Ester Moratinos

'We've been at Zürich Schule for seven years and our daughter is happy here. The school's instructional, pedagogical and human level is superb. We're very pleased to have chosen this school.'

Manuel Fragas

'It's a great school. My daughters have been pupils here and therefore speak perfect German. It also has very good standards of English, Spanish and Catalan. The teaching of science, technology and humanities is rigorous. It has a warm atmosphere and all the staff is very supportive.'

Unamed father

'An exceptional international school in Barcelona. The teachers are first class. If you ever have a problem with your children's education, they do their utmost to come up with the best solution. For our family, it's a benchmark school in the residential area of Barcelona.'

Marc Masip

'Zürich Schule is a different school. The first day I visited it, I realised it was a school where students are cherished and cared for. A rigorous school where students are prepared for a well-built future. Moreover, they complete their studies fluently speaking four languages under the wing of international organisations. My children will definitely study with you!'

Larissa Bonzano

'The habits fostered here enable students to reach their personal maturity. Work well done, honesty and joyfulness are some of the key aspects of the human-centred education at Zürich Schule. It also promotes personal and social responsibility through the organisation of compassionate activities and relational approaches to others, such as understanding, respect, generosity, collaboration and teamwork. Moreover, students have acquired four languages by the time they leave — a gift for their future (and their present). Zürich Schule Pride!'

Maite Robledo

'A more than fantastic school and staff. Although my two children are already in higher courses, due to my outstanding experience since the second year of preschool I take every opportunity to encourage friends and relatives who have school-age children to join Zurich Schule! In fact, three of them have already joined, and they too are delighted. I've already read their surveys. Carry on the good work, even though there's no pleasing everyone!'
